Halloween Fun!

The kids got to carve our pumpkin last night, and they got to wear their costumes to school the next day! We have been having a lot of fun!

I can't really explain the look on Wylie's face, but I wouldn't be surprised if it turns up again in our Christmas cards!

Mary Grace drawing the face design. Notice the tu tu! We can't do any sort of activity without being totally girlie!

I am very excited! This is the first decent picture that I have gotten of the two of them in months! This might have to be our Christmas card picture!

Happy Halloween!!!!!!!

The end of soccer season

Soccer season came to an end last Saturday. Wylie played his last game and then had a pizza party followed by a trophy ceremony. I asked him if he was sad that soccer was over and he said, "yeah, can I play baseball next time?" I think we will start working with him now!

They let all of the kids on the field at the end. It was so funny. They ran around in a little pack. Check out the kid at the far right. Huh?

Check out the kid to the far left! Huh?

This is Wylie's coach presenting him with the trophy.

Wylie is so proud of his trophy. He came home and put at the very top of his shelf, where you really can't see it, but I guess that is a special spot for him.

This picture made me realize that it is really more the friendships that he is making rather than the athletic skill that make sports so great.

Pumpkin Patch Kids

This morning we went to a pumpkin patch in Woodstock with some friends. We went on a hayride and had apple cider. Yummy! The kids had such a great time! I could barely get them to be still long enoughto get a picture. These are the ones that I got before my camera died.

New Fall Styles

I have had a lot of requests for Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas designs, so check them out on the link to the right.

Off to the races...

I left the bedisde of my poor sick dog Saturday to take Wylie to meet his daddy at the Habitat for Humanity Road Race. Drew ran the 5k and Wylie ran in the Tot Trot, which was a lap around an indoor track.

They both did very well. Drew came in 4th for his age group, which is pretty good for a guy that rarely gets the chance to run. Wylie won his race of course!
Here is Wylie stretching before the race.

Here is the starting lineup. You can see Drew helping Wylie.

Here is the finish of the race.

Wylie was so excited that he won the race. I think we found his sport!

A Letter From Max

Dear Janie, (This is Hollie's dog whom I have the major hots for!)

It has been an exciting week around my house this past week! While Mommy and Daddy left me to go to their stupid ole' football game last weekend, I had free reign of the house. I began looking for my favorite treat of used diapers, when lo and behold an open door with what to my delight and surprise... a diaper inside. I immediately helped myself, because as you know, Janie, I love used diapers.

Well, a couple of days passed, and Mommy and Daddy came home. I started to feel real ill. My tummy hurt awful bad. I figured that I had just hadn't had enough to eat. Mommy came home and pet my aching belly and said something about calling the doctor. The next thing I know I am having something called an x-ray and then everything went black.

I woke up to a throbbing head and belly. I now have this long cut on my belly with these silver things called staples holding it closed. I also have to wear this silly thing on my head. I don't know what that is all about, but Mommy said something about a satellite and getting free cable. Anyway, pain aside, I am getting all kinds of attention from Mom! She takes me on a walk now about 4 times a day. The food is great! I get to eat this really expensive canned food 6 times a day, but two of the meals taste kinda funny. I think she is sneaking something in there.

I don't know what all of the fuss is about, when I came home I heard Mom saying something about me being very valuable and that the kids were gonna get canned ham for Christmas. Whatever, I still get my stocking full of treats right Mom?

I do miss sleeping in the bed with my mom, and lying on the couch barking at the mail man. It hurts to jump, and Mom has to carry me up and down the steps. I guess what I am trying to say, Janie, is that I retract my previous statement of encouraging you to try diapers. I don't think it is at all worth it!

Much love,

Max

"Tesaurus Rex"

Wylie walked into my sewing room this afternoon with his hands shoved into his pants and proclaimed that he was a "tesaurus rex." Couldn't make it up if I wanted to, and here is the video proof.

I'll say it again folks. I love being a mom!
