Disney World... Part 1

The Binghams went to Disney World the last week of March, and I have been trying to blog about it. We got about 200 pictures there, so I think I have been a little aprehensive about going through all of them to pick my favorites. I am going to break our trip up into two parts.

Here we are about to leave. Do you think Mary Grace was excited?

The first day we went to the Magic Kingdom. We had a great time until we discovered that Mary Grace had pink eye. We had to call my brother to get some eye drops called in to this pharmacy that delivered to our hotel. It was the first of two medical maladies.

The tea cups are still my favorite!

The kids got their faces painted. Wylie's was a little scarier than I had anticipated.

The second day we went to Hollywood Studios.

The character meals were the best. We all got a good meal, and the kids got to see all of their favortie characters from Disney.
The third day we went to Epcot.

We stumbled upon two princesses in France where Mary Grace got to see two of her favorites. This is also where Wylie got ambushed.

Notice the lipstick marks on his forehead and cheek! That's my little man.

The next day our trip took a sudden down turn. We went to Animal Kingdom. The kids were so worn out by that point that we called it an early day and headed back to the hotel for a nap.

After the nap, Mary Grace woke up screaming that her ear hurt. I had to take her to an urgent care facility! Luckily I got lost on the way (of course) and found a Take Care Clinic at Walgreens. I was in and out in twenty minutes with a prescription in my hand. You can't beat that! On with the trip.

Funny for the Day

Drew's brother, Tom, is getting married September 12th. I was showing Wylie the cute save the date card that Tom and Nikki sent us when Wylie asked "Is Uncle Tommy getting married?". I told him that yes, they are getting married in several months. Wylie responded by saying that pirates do not get married. I really think it's funny that Wylie thinks his uncle is a real life pirate.

The Best Surprise Ever!

Friday afternoon I was outside watching the kids play in the cul-de-sac, when I got the best surprise ever. I white SUV pulled up to my house with a cute airdele puppy sticking her head out of the window. The only person I know that owns a cute airdele puppy is by best friend Hollie!

Sure enough Hollie had come up to surprise me by taking me out do dinner with my other BFF's Elizabeth and Julie!! Turns out they had been planning this since February, and I had NO IDEA!

The other surprise was that the dinner was also a quaint baby shower. I got the cutest little stuffie's and some necessities that I have not been able to buy for baby Jeffery yet.

It was the best surprise ever, and it was a night that I really needed out.

Thank ya'll so much for the wonderful surprise. There is nothing better than spending an evening with good friends and good food. Can't wait for the beach trip!

Easter

Well, I am so far behind in my blogging that I decided to start from the present and work my way backward beginning with Easter and then blogging about our trip to Disney World.

We had such a beautiful Easter. The day started with Easter baskets filled with goodies from the Easter bunny!

Even baby Jeffery got an Easter basket.

As you can see, Mary Grace was pretty excited about all of the candy. She is a candy nut!

Here is Wylie and his new Bakugon (sp?) This is the new fad among boys. He loved it! I am super excited to not have to transform anything with these! They just pop open!

This is big Jeffery (Daddy), and Mary Grace looking through baby Jeffery's basket. I hope my dad doesn't mind his photo in his jammies being viewed by all of my friends.

MG totin' her goods.

A couple of futile attempts at decent photos then off to church!

The church service was absolutely beautiful. It ended with an inspirational version of Handel's Halleluhah chorus which is my favorite!

This is the cross outside of the church that everybody places flowers on. This is the church that Drew and I got married in. I often refer to it as my "home" church, even though we are members of Mt. Bethel here in Marietta.

After church we all met up to gorge ourselves and hunt Easter Eggs!

Most of the cousins!

I hope you all had a wonderful Easter too!

Love,

Julie's Baby Shower

My good friend Julie is having her first baby in May, so we all got together and threw her a little baby shower this past Saturday. I did not get really good pictures, but here are the ones I was able to get.

This is Julie and the hostesses.

The cake and favors, which were tae bags. They were really cute!

Julie and Matt's mom.

Isn't she just the cutest little pregnant lady!

The cake again. I have to thank my friend Hollie. She provided the picture that I sent to my fabulous cake lady. The lady I use is Wilma Simbahan at sugarfuncakes.com

It was a beautiful day, and everything went so smoothly. Julie got a ton of great things. We can't wait to meet baby Bellem soon!

Diamond Doc

So, I had a perinatologist appointment this morning, which I loved because I basically got to sit in a room with an ultrasound tech and stare at my baby for 3o minutes. It was awesome! I have a great picture of him looking right at me and waving. It was very emotional, and I think I even had the tech crying.
Everything looks perfect and he weighs about 15 ounces. Looking at those images this morning just made everything else in my life melt away. I was truly inspired by the grace of God, and just began to give thanks for the blessings in my life.
Anyway, after I sat with the ultrasound tech, the doctor came in. To my surprise he was a spitting image of Neil Diamond!!!!!! Ya'll know I love Neil Diamond, so I immediately liked him. I literally thought he was going to break into song for me.
That's my funny story for the day. I hope it brough a smile!!!!

Where have the Binghams been?

Hello Friends,
I know you all are wondering where we have been and what we have been up to. I wish I could say that we have been traveling and having oh so much fun, but the sad reality is that we have not.
I feel it is only fair to fill everyone in on the latest in our family, so brace yourselves it is not great.
The main thing that has happened is that about a month ago, Drew lost his job with Chorus group. This has been especially devastating because of the baby due in July and all of the health issues I have been having with this pregnancy. The job search has been going very slowly. The current recession, or near depression, as Obama refers to it, is not helping the situation.

I have been trying to help out by substitute teaching at my old school, which has been difficult because I have on average one doctors appointment per week, and I have to make sure Drew does not have some kind of meeting that will interfere. I have also been trying to keep up with my sewing and monogramming. As you can imagine, I am pretty tired with all of that going on, and being 5 months pregnant.
My doctor wants to know why I haven't gained enough weight, well maybe he will read my blog!
The same day Drew came home with his news, was the same day I found out that I failed the gestational diabetes test! Woo Hoo! What a day!
I had to immediately see a dietician, who loves to call and check to make sure I am dieting and exercising FIVE TIMES A WEEK!!!!! (Maybe she will read my blog! ) I also have to see a Perinatologist once a month, on top of my monthly appointments with my OBGYN, AND the weekly shots of progesterone that I have to have. I am expecting to be put on bed rest soon! Especially if I don't start gaining weight.
The good news is that the kids are doing great. They remain a true blessing in my life along with my friends, neighbors and relatives. We appreciate all of the prayers and support that you all have given us. I hope that my next blog entry can be a positive one.
