It's official!

It's a boy!
After talking my doctor into letting me have another ultrasound, we were able to tell what we are having! I had the ultrasound tech write the results on a piece of paper and seal it in an envelope so that Drew and I could be together when we found out.
Wylie and Mary Grace are both excited that we are having a baby brother! I can't wait to see if we will have another wild headed red head, or maybe even a brunette this time around. We shall see!

Latest Doctor's visit

So, I finally got to see my doctor today, and now I am on information overload!

I guess I should back up and revisit the thyroid issue. It is fine thanks to my brother, Russ, for putting me at ease. Turns out the thyroid is in a whole different location than the midwife was inspecting...hmmmmm. I guess I should have paid more attention in anatomy class ( That midwife should have done the same.)

Anyway, I now know that I will be getting a shot in the fanny every week starting in two weeks until I give birth! Which is officially July 8. Woo hoo, this pregnancy just keeps getting more fun. The doctor seems to think that these shots will give me a better chance of carrying full term, which I am extremely excited about.

I love the idea of having a FAT baby!!!!!!!!!!

In addition to getting my first shot in two weeks, I will also be getting the AFP test, which is a series of tests checking for birth defects. That means more bloodwork, but another ultrasound.

I also have to do my first sucrose test...more bloodwork. I will be surprised if I don't pass out from blood loss!

The good news is that the morning sickness seems to finally be going away, and I am getting a little more energy back. Yay!

Yours,

O' Christmas Trees

This year we decided to have a Christmas tree in Wylie and Mary Grace's room. The kids had so much fun decorating them. Here are some pictures of the kids in front of them.

Wylie even set up a train set around his.

I helped out with Mary Grace's class Christmas party this week. Here are some pictures of her enjoying the snack and craft. We are going to have to eat broccoli for three weeks straight to even out all of the treats she has had recently.

Love the green tongue!

Wylie's Christmas Concert

The four and five year olds had a Christmas concert at the preschool. Drew and I both got to go and it really put us in the Christmas spirit. It was so sweet getting to hear those precious voices sing.

Wylie's 5th Birthday Bash!

This past weekend was Wylie's 5th birthday. Drew and I cannot believe that we have a five year old little boy!

We celebrated at The Foam Factory at American Adventures. It was a lot of fun. We had never been before, so we didn't know what to expect. You got to suck these foam balls up into this machince that collected them into a bin that would pour them back out. There were also these cute guns that would fire the foam balls.

We had cake and pizza inside of our party room. There is actually a funny story about the cake. You can tell that the cake is massive, and judging by the photos there were not nearly enough people there to finish it off. I guess me and my pregnant brain decided that a cake that would feed 60 people was a good idea. If that does not send me into gestational diabetes, I don't know what will!

At least the kids enjoyed it!

We all had a great time, especially the birthday boy. Thanks to everyone that could come!

Now that I have my camera back from my parents, I promise to blog more frequently.

Blogger MIA...?

Dear Friends,

Okay, so I know that I have been absent on blogger for quite a while, but I do have a good excuse. Drew and I found out last month that we will be expecting our third child this summer! We don't have an official due date because of the crazy midwife that I have been seeing. (Who thinks that I have hyperthyroidism and skin cancer!) I am not able to go to my regular doctor yet because he is so busy and hard to get an appointment with. I think it is either July 8, or 12th. Those of you who know me though, realize that I will probably not make it to this date.

So please excuse me for being unable to blog due to my constant exhaustion and morning sickness, and complete scatterbrainness.

Anyway, we are excited to welcome this new addition to our family. Both Wylie and Mary Grace are excited, even though Wylie wants it to be a girl so that he does not have to share his toys!

This is Not my ultrasound, but this is what the little butter bean looks like right now. I am probably (Crazy Midwife) 9 weeks pregnant, and I have gotten to see him, and hear the little heartbeat twice now. Nothing is more exciting or real than getting to hear the heartbeat. I love it!

Pregnantly Yours,

Blaire
